This week, I found myself sitting beside my Aunt Glenda—a woman who has spent her entire life bringing joy, laughter, and life to everyone around her. As our family gathered together during a difficult season, she reminded me of something I think we all need to hear:
Life is happening right now.
Not after the diagnosis. Not after the weight loss. Not after the kids grow up. Not after things settle down.
Right now.
In this episode, I share some of the lessons Aunt Glenda taught us this week (including a hospice wolf-cut haircut, smokey eyes, and a search for the perfect sequin dress), and why I believe so many of us are unintentionally postponing our own joy.
Summer has a way of waking us up to what matters. And maybe this summer can be your invitation to stop waiting and start living.
Why so many women postpone joy
The dangerous habit of saying "I'll enjoy life when..."
Lessons from Aunt Glenda's beautiful perspective on life
Finding delight in the middle of uncertainty
Why joy is what carries us through hard seasons
The connection between gratitude and truly living
Creating a magical summer no matter your circumstances
Learning to notice the miracles already around you
How to stop waiting for life to begin
Why summer is about so much more than a season
