Should Christians STOP Saying Jesus Loves You?

Can we really share the gospel by starting with Jesus loves you? Pastor Jeff Durbin said that walking up and telling people that “Jesus loves you” is not what the Apostles taught and so naturally it isn’t something that we should be doing when we share the gospel. We contrast that with a recent interaction with ESPN star Pat Mcafee and a street evangelist starting off his conversation with Jesus loves you. Who is correct and how we should we as Christians evangelize Jesus Christ to those around us?
