Omaha's Historic Bridge Is Going Away + New Restaurants & Halloween Fun

Dela

A piece of Omaha history is about to disappear. The 92-year-old Dodge Street bridge over Saddle Creek is scheduled to be replaced beginning in 2029. We look at the history behind the bridge and whether some of it should be preserved.

Dan checks out There There, a new all-day cafe and wine bar at 30th and Leavenworth, plus Sugar Makery in Council Bluffs, where you can get ice cream with as much edible cookie dough as you want.

Jill shares her experience at Scary Acres, including an unexpected encounter with a scare actor, and rounds up free trunk-or-treat events happening around Omaha.

Colette previews the giant Kite Festival at Heartwood Preserve and Flannel Fridays at Nelson Produce Farm, where you can enjoy line dancing, live music and fall activities.

Plus, Halloween movie nights, Camp Hullabaloo at Falconwood Park, Dan's interview with Flagship Restaurant Group and Omaha Trivia Night at Hurrdat Sports Bar.

Omaha This Week is part of Hurrdat ONE, where we're telling the stories, covering the events and sharing the people that make Omaha such a great place to live.
