Recording from Clewiston, Florida, Nancy McCready continues the conversation on the good and handsome warfare with a call for truth to put on its shoes. It is not enough to know our identity in Christ; truth must become the way we walk, behave, communicate, make decisions, handle disappointment, and conduct the ordinary business of our lives.
Drawing from Romans 6 and Hebrews 12, Nancy reminds us that sons are not being punished—they are being prepared. The Cross has not left us fighting to suppress an old identity. We have been crucified and raised with Christ so that we might walk in newness of life. Our new life begins in union, not effort. As that reality becomes experiential, Holy Spirit trains us to recognize and refuse the lies, offenses, hidden agreements, and compromises that do not belong to the life we now share with Christ.
True warfare is not hype, bravado, or constant fascination with darkness. It is the steady progression of Christ’s life within us until His integrity and character govern our everyday affairs. Every step of obedience becomes warfare as maturing sons learn the Father’s ways, walk forward with Him, and become sharp and skilled instruments of righteousness in His hands.
