Recording from the airport lounge in Krakow, Poland, Nancy McCready continues the conversation on the good and handsome warfare as she prepares to return to the United States after a week of Cross Encounter, ministry, and conversations in Rybnik.
Looking again at the warfare of Jesus, Nancy emphasizes that the enemy’s goal is separation, while the strength of a maturing son is found in oneness with the Father. Jesus did not allow darkness, accusation, misunderstanding, rejection, or the actions of others to consume His attention. His face remained toward the Father and His eternal intention. Sometimes His warfare was speaking. Sometimes it was silence. But His response always came from fellowship and obedience.
As sons mature, warfare becomes less about fascination with darkness and more about faithfully living the life of Christ. We do not have to answer every accusation, prove ourselves right, keep accounts of who appreciated us, or allow another person’s flesh to dictate our lives. Our greatest strategy is to remain joined to the Father, discern His will, and freely live in agreement with Him.
This Here We Go episode is a call to grow up, remain faithful to what the Father has entrusted to us, and discover the tremendous authority of a life lived in uninterrupted oneness and obedience to Him.
