Is Jalen Brunson better than SGA right now?
It's time for another edition of Worst Take on Knicks Weekly.
Max Kellerman argues that Brunson's championship run proved he's more valuable than two-time MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, pointing specifically to how the two superstar guards performed against San Antonio during the postseason.
That leads CP The Fanchise and Alex Trataros into a heated Brunson-vs.-SGA debate.
Alex takes Brunson, pointing to his ability to deliver in high-pressure situations, his playmaking, his physicality and a postseason run that ended with a 45-point championship-clinching performance.
CP isn't ready to go quite that far.
While acknowledging that Brunson has earned his place among the NBA's very best players, CP gives SGA a slight edge based on his overall offensive efficiency, defense, playmaking and larger body of work.
So what matters more when ranking the two: regular-season dominance or delivering a championship when the stakes are highest?
