You would be hard-pressed to find someone who thinks firefighters do not do enough for their communities. Most people do not realize that besides putting out fires and providing emergency medical assistance, firefighters find all kinds of other ways to contribute to the communities they serve. In the case of Richfield, one of the department's biggest philanthropic efforts is Operation Warm, which annually sees firefighters donate hundreds of coats to the city's elementary students.
