This episode I interview pharmacist turned photographer/mom empowerer Annie Vovan. Annie started the mom community Avenue Mama, after becoming a mom and finding she was lacking community. We talked a lot of different things- how she realized how important community was after having a devastating year full of loss and grief. We talked about leaping from a safe career to your passion and what she's learned about photographing women. Annie talks about how to put a value on her time, what surprised her about being a mom and how her childhood baggage came up when she had kids. Annie talked about asking for help and how you're not strong for doing everything on your own. She also talked about self care and how important that is. She opened up about her experience with a miscarriage and her struggles with infertility which she's so willing to talk about to comfort other women. Lastly we talked about how to do something your family isn't supportive, her advice to other moms, how she helps other moms discover their passion in their own businesses, and so much more.
