The body of Christ is held together by our differences, not our sameness. God intentionally places different gifts, personalities, backgrounds, and perspectives in the church so that every joint supplies what the whole body needs. The enemy works to turn those same differences into division, but Scripture calls us to recognize, appreciate, and apply one another’s uniqueness. Unity is already given to us in Christ; our job is to endeavor to keep it through humility, patience, forbearance, and mutual honor. When we stop trying to make everyone like us and start valuing what others bring, the body grows and miraculous things happen.
