425: What We Can Learn About Signature Style From the Odyssey

Your signature style grows stronger when you give yourself permission to be influenced while still trusting your own point of view.

You don't have to create in a vacuum to make work that feels original and unmistakably yours. The artists, stories, music, films, and ideas that move you can all become part of your creative vocabulary when you filter them through your own experiences, values, and obsessions. Using Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey and its influences from Goya, ancient mythology, cinema, music, and art history, I'll unpack how inspiration can become a meaningful ingredient in your work rather than the whole recipe, so you can develop a signature style with greater clarity and confidence.

💡 You'll Learn

• How to draw from artistic influences while developing a signature style that feels authentically yours.
• How Christopher Nolan combines art history, mythology, music, and filmmaking to create a distinctive artistic world.
• How to bring your history, values, obsessions, and point of view into your work to create a more personal and cohesive body of art.

🎧 Tune in and give yourself permission to learn from what inspires you while trusting that your perspective is what makes the final work your own.
