The Protectorate wolf pack is on the prowl for their stolen wolf pack sleeve. Kovacs takes out criminals to coax information out of Trepp. Kovacks tracks down Durov and Okada, partners of Axley only to have Quell appear, kill them and make an impression. The Wolf Pack using a biotracker arrives shortly thereafter and take Kovacs in, who is incapable of taking out Carrera due to his wolf dna incorporated into his sleeve. Meanwhile Poe is dealing with an AI Alzheimers like corruption and is faced with rebooting himself which will wipe out his memory and make him essentially no longer himself or continue to glitch and put Kovacs in possible danger.
