We just passed America’s 250th birthday, so what better way to celebrate our nation’s history than by discussing a film about a veteran with PTSD who was chewed up, spit out, and left for dead by his own country? You’d be forgiven for thinking First Blood is just like any other Rambo film, but this one has a sincere message, and it utilizes a lot of restraint in telling it.
