We all know Silicon Valley is a unique place, brilliant and competitive place.

These pressures to have unique innovations, be brilliant like your peers and survive the intense competition around performance reviews and interviews create 4 common problems:

- anxiety before big presentations or meetings
- unable to fit in to peer group at work
- stress causes people to yell at each other
- and self-sabotage, Impostor Syndrome, etc

In this episode Paul and I sit down to discuss these issues people brought to us.

We take a unique approach to addressing these problems by giving context. So many programs and self-help books give out pieces of advice that work but are too simple. For example, a person may be told to meditate, or talk a certain way to their boss.

We give our thoughts in a structured 4 step format. First, self awareness (red). Then self mastery (blue), followed by Social Awareness (yellow) and finally Social Mastery (green).

A key step in development of this process is first giving answers to internal problems, red and blue. Then after the person is calm they are in a position to go outward and find external solutions in the social realm.

So in talking about anxiety before big presentations, we give out advice in context so the person asking the question can really understand how their inner world effects their outer world, and how they can effectively navigate the outer world.

You can have your problems discussed simply by emailing us at info@prostarperformance.com or by commenting on the Pro Star Performance facebook page. We live stream every Friday at noon and hope to see you there!
