Emily shares how her dog Kalina's journey, from amputation to rehabilitation, inspired her to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist.

 

They discuss the challenges Emily faced throughout her career, the changes and pivots she made along the way, and how working in a zoo and marine-animal setting at Coral World Ocean Park gave her a new perspective on veterinary medicine. Emily shares how these experiences, along with her return to small-animal practice, helped her develop a deeper understanding of what it means to support the physical and emotional wellbeing of the animals in her care.
