Pianist David Kaplan

Pianist David Kaplan plays the Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra on Saturday October 17th, 2026, 7:30pm at the Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center. He spoke with WQED-FM's Jim Cunningham about the piece and his friendship with JSO conductor James Blachly. He also talks about the music scene in LA where he is a teacher at UCLA; his new CD coming out titled "Quasi Una Fantasia;" and growing up in a musical family.
