Slippery Rock University's Early Childhood and Elementary Music Community Engagement Initiative has four upcoming free family events! Dr. Cassandra Eisenreich and students Keira Mayhue and Ian Fuechslin speak with Melissa Black about their programming.

Cassandra started the Community Engagement Initiative as a way to connect young children to music. There are two "Sing Move Play" events and two "Tuneful Tales" concerts, which both of which encourage kids to engage with music, movement, and storytelling. All four events take place at SRU's Swope Music Building. Ian and Keira talk about their involvement in the programming, from leading to performing to teaching. Cassandra, Keira, and Ian also emphasize the importance of letting kids be kids.

Find more information and RSVP to any of the four concerts, and learn more about SRU's Community Engagement Initiative on Slippery Rock University's website.
