Today's episode is really an essay. I've been thinking a lot about artificial intelligence, A.I., over the past years. Since I think of most things in terms of yoga, I have thought a lot about the way A.I. relates to us as yogis in terms of philosophy and practice. These are some of my thoughts on the topic. I hope they serve as a framework for you to think about it yourself.
The essay is broken up with titles that are reminiscent of the Bhagavad Gita: the Yoga of this and that. These titles are actually ironic, though, because I generally think A.I. is not yogic by design. Not to say we shouldn't use it. It just requires a lot more discernment that I see being applied at both high and low levels. If you're interested in the use of A.I. in schools, give a listen to On The Media podcast from Aug. 26. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/on-the-media/id73330715?i=1000785962522
Note: I accidentally said large language “modules” instead of “models” in my intro. Feel free to send me comments at peterspodcast108@gmail.com.
Thanks for listening. Namaste.
