When Frazier called 911, she reported finding the house ransacked and intruders still inside. Then, while speaking with dispatchers, a gunshot rang out—and Frazier claimed she had been shot.

Police arrived to find a wounded caller, a dead boyfriend, and what appeared to be a home invasion. But the scene wasn’t behaving like one. Nothing valuable was missing, the disorder felt strangely selective, and the story investigators had been handed began developing holes of its own.
