Shalom, everyone. In this episode of Lion & Lamb’s Gospel of Luke study, Monte Judah begins at Luke 11:37, where Yeshua is invited to lunch by a Pharisee. The encounter reveals a major conflict between Yeshua and the religious leadership of His day—centered on outward tradition versus inward obedience.
We walk through Yeshua’s rebuke of hypocrisy, His warnings about burdensome man-made standards, and His teaching that God is concerned with the inside of the cup—the heart. Then we move into Luke 12, where Yeshua instructs His disciples to beware the leaven of the Pharisees, to fear God rather than man, and to trust the Father’s care—even under pressure.
📖 Passage focus: Luke 11:37–54; Luke 12:1–13
