Being involved in Christian ministry—the ministry of the gospel—in some way is just part of being a Christian. The Christian life is a team life—a life in which we minister the gospel together.

But what exactly is the contribution of every Christian to the overall ministry of the gospel and the ministry of a church? What is the every member ministry of the Christian?

In the New Testament, there's a very clear emphasis on what the every member ministry of the Christian is really about: it's about the word of the gospel we speak to each other. But this is not something we're used to thinking about.

In the latest episode of the Centre for Christian Living podcast, Moore College student Liam Nolan talks to Tony Payne about his new book, Let the Word Dwell Richly and the “one-another” word: what it is, what it does, why we find it hard to speak, and what we can do to foster that sort of encouragement and exhortation in our churches.
