Angelo Pizzo, the screenwriter of Hoosiers and Rudy, returns for part two of a conversation about two of the greatest sports films ever made. Angelo reveals the movie star who first agreed to play Coach Norman Dale, and the unlikely producer who cried through the script and finally paid for the film after a year and a half of rejections. He also opens up about working with Gene Hackman, who arrived on set convinced Hoosiers would end his career. He discusses the half hour that had to be cut from the film, how Jerry Goldsmith came to score both movies for almost nothing, and why Rudy's theme became one of the most recognizable pieces of music in sports. Angelo also shares the casting of Sean Astin, Ned Beatty and Jon Favreau, how Bob Knight inspired Norman Dale, and the story behind his newest and most personal film, Bloomington.
