It's an honor to welcome Melbourne's Alex Albrecht for the next chapter in our series, an artist whose work I've admired for so many years. There is such a sensitivity in Alex's music, a delicate handhold between feeling and movement that lives within each measure, and which Alex brings out with such profound and organic ease. The vast horizon of sound that Alex has built through his own discography and that of his tremendous label Analogue Attic, co-founded with Sean La'Brooy, has undeniably shaped the path I find myself walking today and I know many others would say the same.
Here Alex presents a story compiled from recent live performances and a companion to his newly released album "Hiriketiya", a soft-focus snapshot of a path leading home, a set rooted so firmly in a sense of place that one can't help but feel transported in its wake. Thank you Alex!
