For years I've said The Last Jedi has brilliant ideas buried under baffling choices. This week, I'm not just reviewing it - I'm rewriting it.
This is my full fix-it pitch for Episode VIII. No hate-watch, no fanboy rant - just how you keep Rian Johnson's themes, respect Luke Skywalker, and make the whole damn movie actually pay off into Rise of Skywalker.
It's a celebration of 80's action cinema that occasionally has to stop and fix modern blockbusters. And brother, this one needs fixing.
