Thousands of people have crossed the Channel illegally, and instead of being held in secure facilities while their identities and asylum claims are properly assessed, many are housed in hotels and other accommodation at enormous public expense.

Meanwhile, local residents are asking perfectly reasonable questions about security, public safety and the impact on their communities. AND WHO THE HELL IS LISTENING TO THEM? Look at Piddington. Residents have protested against plans for migrant accommodation, yet many feel their concerns are being brushed aside.
Across Britain, there's a growing and deeply dangerous perception that British citizens are coming second in their own country. Whether it's access to housing, pressure on services, public safety or simply the right to have a say about what happens in their neighbourhood, people feel ignored.
And what does the political establishment do? Lecture them! Dismiss their concerns! Tell them everything is under control! WELL, IT BLOODY WELL ISN'T! My argument is simple. People arriving without verified identities should be held in secure, properly regulated facilities while their cases are determined. Those with valid asylum claims should be treated according to the law, and those with no right to remain should be removed.
Instead, we have a system that seems designed to accommodate everyone except the people who are paying for it! I'm not defending violence, rioting or looting. But ignoring public anger, refusing to confront difficult questions and treating legitimate concerns as an inconvenience is a recipe for disaster.
THIS IS A DANGEROUS COCKTAIL AND OUR POLITICIANS ARE PLAYING WITH FIRE! Are France and Italy a warning of what's coming to Britain? Is the country becoming a pressure cooker? And how much longer can the establishment ignore the people it's supposed to represent?
