This week, we are locked in with high-stakes poker pro Jonathan Jaffe to discuss his new writing project ‘Defining Edges’ as well as some of the recent news stories.

The episode kicks off with a quick mention of the Irish Open Sydney (Irish Open satellites now on Paddy Power Poker btw) before the lads discuss Triton Jeju and specifically Nick Schulman’s victory in the $100K Main Event. The conversation then turns to platforming by Triton of Ossi Ketola and his controversial crypto casino brand ‘Duel’.

From there, David segues to ‘The Triton Files’, a series of articles inspired by the finding of the new MTT Database website which tracks and collates positive and negative poker results. Both Jonathan and Dara give there takes on such information
being disseminated and there is a promise to welcome one of the site’s creators Jonathan Raab to the show at a later date.

David and Dara talk about the merits of both the EPT Prague and WPT World Championships, which this year have non-over-lapping Main Events. Jonathan explains his reasons for attending the WSOP Paradise.

In the final part of the show, Jonathan is asked all about his new Substack where he has so far written about his own poker origins, successes and challenges. He also explained how he plans to cover the high-roller scene more generally in future posts.
