Acky Bright joins The Comic Source to discuss GalaXic Baseball League, the new science-fiction manga from VIZ Media developed in collaboration with MLB Players, Inc.
What happens when Major League Baseball's biggest stars take the field 1,000 years in the future against teams from across the galaxy?
Bright discusses his lifelong love of baseball, bringing real MLB players into a fictional universe, and the process of maintaining their authentic movements and personalities with the help of the MLBPA.
We also explore how GalaXic Baseball League brings together Japanese manga storytelling and American comics production methods, why Luna unexpectedly became such an important character, and how the series is designed to appeal to readers who don't know anything about baseball.
Finally, Bright reveals the deeper message behind the story and what he hopes readers will discover as it continues.
Topics include:
