Neurosurgeon John Henry Schneider was known for his extreme confidence and the cowboy boots he’d wear in the OR. But more and more patients were complaining of botched operations and unbearable pain. Whenever authorities would examine his work or threaten his license, Schneider would start over in a new location, leaving a trail of shattered trust and long-term injury.

In season five of the Audible Original podcast “Dr Death: The Cowboy,” host Laura Beil brings another story of shocking medical malpractice. The series highlights Schneider’s efforts to discredit critics and placate suffering patients, as well as highlight the systemic failures meant to hold accountable those who’ve sworn to do no harm.

OUR SPOILER-FREE REVIEWS OF "DR. DEATH: THE COWBOY" BEGIN IN THE FINAL 12 MINUTES OF THE PODCAST.
