Nina Bandelj is Chancellor's Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Irvine. Today we are talking about her new book Overinvested: The Emotional Economy of Modern Parenting. She addresses the problem of parental burnout among America parents from an economic sociological perspective and comes to very similar conclusions that people such a Meredith Elkins have come to from a clinical perspective.
