FOOTBALL DAILY: Kane's Ballon d'Or | Carrick takes training | Arsenal back to Highbury

David Wilson is back with Tuesday’s Football Daily, starting with Harry Kane’s emotional Ballon d’Or win — the first English winner in 25 years — with Ronaldo on hand to present the award. Plus, Alexia Putellas lands the Women’s Ballon d’Or for a record-equalling third time.

There’s more pressure on Michael Carrick at Manchester United as he takes training amid sack rumours, with Jonathan Wilson calling the current situation at Old Trafford “practically unfixable”, and Brian Kerr questioning Carrick’s future after the Bournemouth defeat.

We also look ahead to tonight’s EFL Cup action, an abandoned England-Ireland Under-15 match, and the First Division play-off second legs.
