Why do so many capable people feel like they need "just one more class/workshop/podcast," or "one more success" before they're finally ready to go after their dreams? What if the real problem isn't self-confidence or self-worth, and instead self-esteem (the story they were told about their performance) ?

In this episode, Dawn explores how the need for constant proof often begins long before adulthood. As children, we learn the rules for belonging. Many of us unconsciously absorb the belief that love, acceptance, or safety must be earned through actions. Over time, those survival strategies become an inner courtroom where we're constantly putting ourselves on trial, searching for enough evidence to finally feel enough.

The problem is that no amount of external proof can satisfy an internal story that was never true to begin with.

If learning were enough... wouldn't your life already look different?
