What does it mean to “prepare to meet your God”? In Amos 3-4, God confronts His people with a sobering warning, exposing how their sin, comfort, and religious activity had pulled their hearts away from him. Yet God’s discipline and warning are ultimately acts of love, giving his people an opportunity to return. And for us, the gospel reminds us that Jesus is the only way we can truly be ready to meet God.
