He was spending the day alone at a friend’s old duplex when something crashed into the cats’ food dish behind him.

The problem was, both cats were asleep in the next room.

Later, he began hearing what sounded like two people whispering in the corner of the living room. When he paused the television, the voices continued—and both cats were staring toward the exact same spot.

Then came the heavy footsteps. Someone seemed to be climbing the stairs toward the apartment, getting closer and closer to the door. He opened it just as the footsteps stopped.
