Developer IllFonic has officially patched out a controversial "Two-Person Power-Up" closet mini-game from its new asymmetrical 4v1 horror multiplayer title, Halloween: The Game. While intended as a tongue-in-cheek nod to slasher movie tropes, players quickly raised serious concerns when late-game reinforcement characters—specifically Dr. Samuel Loomis, bearing the likeness of the late actor Donald Pleasence—were able to trigger the suggestive audio encounters with teenage survivors.
