NEWSROUND WITH DAVE DAVIS | PART 2
Dave Davis returns with another edition of Newsround, diving into Liverpool's midfield transfer plans, Alexis Mac Allister's uncertain future and the latest developments under Andoni Iraola.
Mac Allister's contract situation takes centre stage, with reports suggesting Liverpool are not currently planning to offer the Argentine midfielder a new deal. Despite his outstanding form this season, questions remain over his long-term future, with Real Madrid links and reports of previous interest from Atletico Madrid adding another dimension to the discussion.
Dave examines whether Liverpool could be making a costly mistake by allowing one of their most influential midfielders to approach the final stages of his contract.
Attention then turns to Liverpool's search for midfield reinforcements, with Lamine Camara, Alex Scott and Manu Koné among the names being discussed. Camara's impressive performances for Monaco make him a particularly intriguing option, while Chelsea's reported interest in Scott could complicate Liverpool's plans.
Ryan Gravenberch's changing role also comes under scrutiny, with Dave questioning where the Dutch midfielder fits into Iraola's system following the manager's comments about his versatility.
There's also a positive update on Florian Wirtz, whose recent performances suggest he is beginning to find his confidence. Dave discusses Iraola's backing of the German playmaker, his growing influence and fresh comments from Bayern Munich about Liverpool's handling of the midfielder.
Finally, Dave assesses Iraola's explanation of Liverpool's tactical evolution, the players' response to his methods and why the Reds must turn encouraging performances into consistent Premier League victories.
Should Liverpool offer Mac Allister a new contract? Is Lamine Camara the ideal midfield signing? And has Iraola finally unlocked Florian Wirtz?
