NEWSROUND WITH DAVE DAVIS | PART 2
Dave Davis is back with another packed edition of Newsround for Anfield Index, bringing you the latest Liverpool FC transfer news, injury updates and Champions League build-up.
Fabrizio Romano's latest comments on Liverpool's midfield plans take centre stage, with the Reds continuing to monitor Bournemouth's Alex Scott and Monaco's Lamine Camara.
Romano has repeatedly discussed Liverpool's interest in both players, suggesting that midfield recruitment is becoming an increasingly important focus for 2027. Could Liverpool make their move in January, or will the club wait until the summer?
Dave examines the uncertainty surrounding Liverpool's transfer strategy, the influence of Andoni Iraola and the growing calls for another midfield signing.
There's also an important injury update ahead of Liverpool's Champions League meeting with Villarreal, with Jeremie Frimpong expected to remain sidelined until after the November international break and Dominik Szoboszlai continuing his recovery.
Dave discusses the concerns surrounding Szoboszlai's recurring injury and what his absence could mean for Liverpool's upcoming fixtures.
Attention also turns to Florian Wirtz, whose recent performances have sparked renewed debate. With contributions in consecutive matches, Dave examines the German playmaker's growing influence and the analysis offered by David Lynch, Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.
There's further discussion about Víctor Muñoz's impressive form, his relationship with Iraola and the uncertainty surrounding his availability after missing open training.
With Liverpool looking to build on successive victories and maintain their Champions League momentum, Dave assesses the challenges facing Iraola as the Reds prepare for another important European night at Anfield.
Will Liverpool finally strengthen their midfield in January, and can the Reds overcome their injury problems to keep their winning run going?
All this and more in Part 2 of Newsround with Dave Davis, exclusively on Anfield Index.
