NEWS ROUND WITH DAVE DAVIS | LIVERPOOL'S ATTACK COMING ALIVE PART 2.
Dave Davis returns with another edition of News Round, focusing on Liverpool's improving attacking performances following their 2–0 victory over Brighton at Anfield.
Florian Wirtz is showing signs of rediscovering his best form, with Dave praising the German international's growing confidence, creativity and willingness to battle for possession. After a difficult spell, Wirtz is beginning to demonstrate exactly why Liverpool invested so heavily in his talent.
Alexander Isak is also delivering in front of goal, with the £125m striker continuing his impressive scoring form. Dave discusses the importance of getting the ball to Isak in dangerous areas and why his clinical finishing could be crucial to Liverpool's ambitions this season.
Bradley Barcola's developing partnership with Isak is another major talking point, with the French winger providing assists and using his explosive pace to create opportunities. Could this combination become one of Liverpool's biggest attacking weapons?
There's also discussion about Cody Gakpo's performance against Brighton, his impressive work rate and the frustrating decision-making that prevented him from making an even greater impact.
Dave examines Liverpool's more direct tactical approach under Andoni Iraola, the growing understanding between the attacking players and why the Reds are beginning to look increasingly dangerous.
Is Wirtz finally finding his best form? Could Isak and Barcola become Liverpool's most important attacking partnership? And how much better can Iraola's attack become?
All this and more on News Round with Dave Davis.
