In 1984, an unknown performer named Whoopi Goldberg captivates Broadway audiences with her original one-woman show. The production returns to the stage at the Newhouse Theater, with Kerry Washington, Kara Young, Kecia Lewis, and other cast members bringing Goldberg's characters to life. Lewis discusses her role in the production, the enduring legacy of“The Whoopi Monologues” in Broadway history, and the revival, which runs through Aug. 30th.
