Paladin is a West Point man with a Shakespeare habit, a suite at San Francisco's Carlton Hotel, and a business card that reads "Have Gun, Will Travel." John Dehner plays him with velvet in his voice and gravel underneath. This time the trouble comes to his own front door: a physician calling himself Doctor Dreckle, lately of Vienna, opens a consulting parlor right inside the Carlton, and the fashionable of the city line up for his continental cures. Paladin doesn't like the smell of it — and in a hotel full of trusting patients, finding out why is close, quiet, dangerous work. Written by radio master William N. Robson, with Ben Wright, Virginia Gregg, Harry Bartell, Peggy Webber, and Shirley Mitchell.
