Sermon Series: The Stand
Know Your Enemy
Ephesians 6:10-12

In the first message of The Stand series, “Know Your Enemy” (Ephesians 6:10–12), Pastor Ben reminds us that the Christian life is a spiritual battle. Our struggle is not ultimately against people or circumstances, but against spiritual forces that seek to distract, discourage, and divide. Through Christ’s strength, believers are called to stand firm, remain alert, and recognize the reality of spiritual warfare while trusting in God’s power and victory.

3 Key Points to Remember:
  • The battle is spiritual. Our true enemy is not flesh and blood, but the spiritual forces that oppose God’s purposes.
  • Stand in God’s strength. We are not called to fight in our own power, but in the strength and might of the Lord.
  • Awareness leads to readiness. Knowing who the enemy is helps us stay alert, faithful, and prepared to stand firm in Christ.
Key Verse:
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." — Ephesians 6:12 (NIV)
