On this episode, I interview Christal McElveen of http://neptunesgate.com, a fellow contributor to the book, “Reiki Heart and Soul: Many Stories, One Bright Light,” about her lifelong sensitivity to energy, growing up in a religious environment, and learning to cope with intense empathy and visions.
Christal shares how she eventually shut her gifts down, then was cracked open by her grandmother’s passing, leading to years of numbness, severe high blood pressure, and unprocessed grief. Her grandmother catalyzed her spiritual path, bringing Reiki into her life for deep, transformative healing. She also discusses Reiki levels, shadow work, grounding, intuition, and developing boundaries. I especially loved hearing about Christal’s “year of no” in 2023, redefining “selfish,” her path to reclaiming feminine softness, and how she now teaches Reiki and offers yearlong spiritual mentorship and other services.
