The Jason Arday plagiarism and all-around weirdo and liar scandal told us something not only about the University of Cambridge but also about the whole higher-education racket: a great many left-liberal academics defended an obvious charlatan down to the very last moment even though his plagiarism and other problems were obvious to everyone.
