James DiEugenio is an American historian, educator, author, and screenwriter widely recognized as one of the foremost experts on the political assassinations of the 1960s. He has authored and co-edited several seminal books on the subject, including Destiny Betrayed and Reclaiming Parkland. DiEugenio notably collaborated with director Oliver Stone, writing the screenplay for the acclaimed 2021 documentary JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass. A relentless researcher into deep political history and the national security state, he currently edits the comprehensive historical archive Kennedys and King. Today, he continues to publish ongoing investigations into declassified intelligence records, historical covert operations, and media critiques on his Substack.
