Hey kids this is a video about materialism, external validation, and the difference between building a life you genuinely want versus building one that looks impressive to other people.
I think a lot of us assume materialism is just wanting expensive things. But sometimes it’s much quieter than that yk? It’s needing the money, body, relationship, job, followers, or lifestyle to prove that your life matters.
And the scary part is that you can become extremely successful at building a life you don’t actually enjoy. So I hope this video makes you question what you’re chasing, what comparison is doing to your identity, and whether the things you want would still matter to you if nobody else could see them.
Want money. Look good. Fall in love. Build things. Achieve things.J ust make sure underneath all of that there is still a person you actually know, a person you respect, and a life you would still want even if nobody was watching.
