With Joel Embiid LeBron James missing the second half of the back-to-back, the Sixers used a monster performance from Tyrese Maxey (38 points, 13-23 shooting) and a lockdown defensive effort down the stretch to come from behind and steal a win in Charlotte. With the win, the Sixers’ third straight, the Sixers improve to 6-1 on the season.

Jaylen Brown struggled in his first game back after missing a game due to soreness in his left knee, shooting just 6-15 from the field. VJ Edgecombe struggled for most the night as well, but hit a massive game-clinching step-back 3 with 36 seconds left to put the Sixers up four. With the win, the Sixers have improved to a perfect 6-0 in clutch wins.
