Who has your ear, and who are you allowing to influence what you believe is possible for your life?
In this episode of Make Your Own Luck, I'm exploring why the people you learn from, the conversations you have and the environments you put yourself in can have such a profound influence on your goals, self-image and results.
In 2015, I made a decision to fly from Australia to Toronto to attend a week-long seminar with Bob Proctor, someone I'd never met but knew I wanted to learn from. That decision changed the trajectory of my life and business.
We have more access to information than ever before, but consuming content isn't the same as studying, applying what you learn and surrounding yourself with people who challenge you to think beyond what you already know. This is especially important when you're a successful business owner or leader and everyone else is looking to you for answers.
Who are you going to for new ideas, greater perspective and the thinking required for your next level?
I'll share why proximity has been so important throughout my own life, including my recent visit with Brian and Cory Proctor in Washington, and why I believe there's nothing quite like getting yourself into the right room.
