When was the last time you felt really embarrassed by your kids? Don't they often behave poorly when company comes over? How do you handle it? Does it ruin your day? Do you frantically search for the newest parenting book to find the magic formula to prevent this from ever happening again?

I have felt this way so many times! It used to rip at my core identity and make me feel like I might be disqualified as an effective parent! But the longer I parented, the better I became at realizing that kids just do the darndest things, and that their every bad choice was not an exact representation of my parenting ability. How we show up as mothers when our kids misbehave largely depends on our thoughts! Shocker, right? Let's talk about it.
