As Robert begins walking away, Ned lingers to ponder the implication of this. A great honor to be sure, and one most lords would kill for. And yet, Ned is not one of them and cannot help but worry.


He has nothing against Robert as a good brother, but he has an issue with Joffrey. He has heard rumors about him from Jon Arryn, some unsavory things about the young prince, and how he is cruel, sullen, and arrogant.
