The whole court goes silent as the herald finishes his announcement and the prisoner is brought forward. Ned shuffles forward with his hands and legs manacled and escorted by a pair of Gold Cloaks.

He walks past the courtiers, hearing their barely-concealed whispers. They mutter the words traitor and usurper.
