Headlines: The Restraining Force

On this week’s headline podcast, we talk about what is holding back the tide of evil in this overtly evil age. Did you ever stop to think about what God allows – and disallows? The dramatic events surrounding the FlyDubai flight of September 30 drove this home in that God really did do a miracle for those passengers, a full flight of Israelis, many of them flying to Israel to celebrate the feast of Tabernacles. So what kind of evil will be unleashed once the church is gone? Who is the Restrainer spoken of by Paul, and is there a connection between the two?  The church cannot agree, as usual, but there really is only one answer and it’s not some vague random power. We talk about antisemitism, Christianity being marginalized, and the comfort we can have when we realize that God is truly on the throne, involved in the affairs of men, and that the book of Revelation should inspire worship above all. A full hour looking at today, the only day we really have to do the work of God while we still can. Darkness is descending.
