Somehow the World Cup finally got a halftime show... and somehow we still found plenty to complain about.
Today's comedy podcast starts with the crew breaking down the most bizarre halftime spectacle imaginable. Madonna appears for what feels like twelve seconds, BTS brings the choreography, Justin Bieber decides the world's biggest sporting event needs an acoustic therapy session, and then Shakira walks out to remind everyone why those hips have never lied. Naturally, we have opinions.
From there, things somehow get even weirder.
It's Moon Day, which means Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin get the glory while poor Michael Collins gets roasted for being the guy who drove everyone to the moon and wasn't allowed to get out of the car. We imagine the greatest prank NASA never pulled, discuss Bruce Lee, NeverEnding Story, James Gunn, Ozzy Day, and somehow turn historical events into completely unnecessary comedy.
Then it's time for Crap on Celebrities, where Jelly Roll and Bunny XO's divorce, Willie Nelson's latest memoir, Apple Music price hikes, Metallica preparing for The Sphere, Shane Gillis smashing comedy attendance records, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, Charlie Sheen family drama, celebrity careers hanging on by a thread, and plenty of entertainment gossip all get thrown into the blender.
Along the way we debate whether stadium comedy is actually fun, argue about the best place to watch Nolan movies, wonder if The Rock needs a career reboot, celebrate Carlos Santana's birthday, and somehow end up discussing Michael Collins' intrusive thoughts while orbiting the moon.
Basically... another completely normal morning.
